History of the Firm
The Wilton Companies was originally founded in 1945 and over many years developed many properties in the West End of Richmond including a portfolio of retail shopping centers, distribution warehouses, office buildings and various other commercial freestanding properties. In addition, Wilton developed many residential subdivisions, including over 4,500 homes and built 2,000 apartments.
In the fall of 2002, The Wilton Companies, LLC was formed by acquiring a portfolio of residential and commercial real estate properties. The properties in the portfolio consisted of retail shopping centers, retail outparcels, downtown & suburban office buildings, industrial/warehouse buildings, apartment complexes, freestanding buildings, undeveloped land and other special use properties in the Richmond metropolitan area.
The Wilton Companies has long been a leader in the sale and leasing of commercial property, and currently leases and manages over three million square feet. Wilton has been part of many successful real estate endeavors and has maintained successful relationships with local owners, developers and the brokerage community. Wilton has a reputation for completing transactions with the highest level of experience, competence and integrity.
Wilton is experienced and involved in all aspects of the real estate transaction process including development, marketing, initial lease up, and ongoing leasing and management of the physical asset.
